Monday morning recap - part I
Spent a lovely (and child-free) anniversary weekend doing stuff…and things (pardon while I giggle like a school girl at our own inside joke, patently stolen from South Park).
Saturday: We hit the city for some walking and eating (less of the former and more of the latter unfortunately) – getting off the train at the first stop out of the tunnel and walking our way towards the river - reading the newspaper pages on the Oregonian building across from PGE Park, going to the farmers market (I heart you, PowerSeed bread!!) then down to Voodoo Doughnuts (we walked in on a wedding ceremony…awwww love), then back towards the hills with more stops for Thai food, books and um…things (ha ha ha…ahem, cough…er, again, sorry about that, mate).
We hit the soccer game that night. That'll be in the Part II post.
Sunday: "First Date: The Sequel" was my sweetie’s clever plan, but it didn’t make it off the ground, unfortunately. We slept in late. Way late. And after eating so much food the day before, the last thing we wanted to do was go out to eat, and the show times for the movie we were to see at the only theater we want to see movies at (screw Regal) were sold out. So we fell back on doing other stuff…and thi…ok, nevermind…
