Yes, Virginia...there is a new album!

If you're into the Dresden Dolls (if you're not, you should be), go canvas the web where about half the studio tracks from their new album, Yes Virginia (out mid-April), are available for download from various music sites and blogs, plus you can easily find bootlegs of live performances of several others.

The last song on the album, "Sing", is my favorite studio track that I've heard so far. I suspect that'll change, since my favorite song from their last release changed every two months. "Mandy Goes to Med School" has been one of my faves, simply because it's great to sing out loud to in the car…and if you show up and I am unavailable/my partner Brian would love to take care of you/he is a nice man/thoroughly reliable/he's in a rock band/and he goes to med school…

I love "Truce" from the last album for the same reason…unadulterated, unabashed full-throttle singing in the car.

And don't look at me like that…
