Shuffling along...

Oh how I looooove the Shufffle. So useful, light enough to run with and has enough memory (one gig!) to cover anything I want to listen to.

And it (again) points out how opposite me and my better half is... he not only will use the shuffle feature, but he will also let iTunes load randomly whatever music is in his library. Holy-moly. It's like random squared. I couldn't do that EVER. He thinks of it as being always pleasently surprised. I call it craaaaazy.

Music is my emotion. I know exactly how I want to feel and what music will get me there. Whether I want to feel dark and robotic (Gary Numan) or bitter and manic (The Dresden Dolls) or free-spriited, subtly witty, and full of wistful reminiscence (Blues Traveler), I have enough space on the Shuffle to feel all these things.

For someone as high-maintenance as I am, who knows exactly what and when I want it, I can't possibly risk just loading things at random, can I?? Maybe someday when I evolve. I wonder when that day will come. (sigh) For now, it's just another example of me=control-freak and my sweetie=not-so-much. Sure it's cute now, but in five years, it's not gonna be so cute. Sooooo broken.
