Beck is coming to town!

I got the presale info by e-mail, and it took me all of a half hour to make up my mind to go. With the monies I spent going to Coachella, I resolved not to spend so much money this year going to shows. I've already missed Moby, Peter Murphy and a whole slew of others.

It costs too much money to go to shows, with the ticket price and the "convenience" charge and the processing charge. I fully believe they'll eventually get around charging you for mailing the tickets.

Since we're going to see Dahlia at the Doug Fir Lounge tomorrow night, and The Decemberists and Coldplay in August (yay!), I figured I could splurge a bit for a show in July. Especially since it's Beck. He's très coooool. Should be a great show. He's one of the few artists that are able to rip off his own material, yet still keep his sound fresh.

The Coldplay show will be great too – at Coachella, the only thing I could think about was wishing my sweetie there with me. I resolved never to see Coldplay again without him being there, and fortunately we were able to secure tickets to their nearby performance at Clark County Amphitheater when they went on sale last Saturday.

Guess I'm not passing up as many shows as I thought I would.
