Monday – 12:30am

We decided that the best way to stay awake for the long drive was to count all the Denny’s we passed on the way home. We stopped at Denny’s No. 6 (in Colton), ordered food and zoned-out, as my brother entertained us by reading off the paper placemat about “Denny’s Special Blend of Coffee and Minute Maid Orange Juice”.

I puzzled this in my mind a moment.

"Whaaa?" and looked at the line on my own placemat.

My brother had conveniently inserted an "of" where there really wasn’t one. So my brother tries another one on me.

"What do you get when you mix black and orange?" he says. "B’orange!" HA HA HA!! And you know I was totally in giggle fits over this. It was going to be a long long night.
