Woo! Harvey Danger played a live in-studio set on KEXP at noon today. I put my phone on "do not disturb" so I could busy myself daydreaming about Sean singing to me in my bedroom while I'm rubbing my hands through his hair. Sigh.
In a bout of divine coincidence, my Harvey Danger tickets for their show at the Crystal Ballroom on the 27th were in my mailbox last night. Can't wait for the show. I'll be the crazy dancing girl in the front row with the really tall bald guy behind her, just like usual.
Song of the Day: Cool James by Harvey Danger. This is officially my favorite song on the CD, followed by the two singles, Little Round Mirrors and Cream and Bastards Rise. They didn't play it during their live performance on KEXP, but it matters not. You can download it (and the rest of their album) for free on their web site.
They understand what I've thought all along, people support the artists they like. If they build a fan base, their fans will buy their stuff, even if it's not terribly useful. Like a certain band's T-shirt which is simply the letters HD in a text bubble, which I will still be sporting at the gym tomorrow despite that some people will think it stands for "high definition" or something stooopid like that.
