Day Three: No Hair = No Likey-so-Much

In Day Three of "I hate Johnny Damon" week...

Do I believe that Johnny Damon's talent is directly linked with his hair? Yes. Yes I do. And I'm not the only one.

Samson's hair had been a symbol of his covenant with God. Damon's hair had been a symbol of his covenant with good in its unending opposition to the Evil Empire. After being shorn, Samson awoke to find that both God and his strength had left him. Will Damon suffer the same fate? (For the sake of Red Sox Nation, he must.)

In fact, Johnny Damon himself, in page 154 of his book Idiot, proclaims, "Hey, what can I say? I'm just blessed with good hair. It's turned into a Samson thing. My hair is my strength."

For your sake Johnny, let's hope it's not true.
