C'mon down little Sarah...

Rob and I are in love. With each other. With our kids. With our family. And with someone that doesn't even exist yet except as a gleam in her parent's eyes.

We're in love with Sarah Shawn Bell Brooks.

Yep. We're gonna have that one...last...kid.

We've got a few things to accomplish first --climbing Mt. Hood, the marathon, getting married and the subsequent throwing each other out of a plane (honeymoon skydiving), and whatever else we can think of to fill up the next three years.

But on my 40th birthday, we're gonna start trying for that last little one, and praying, praying, PRAYING (or using some pseudo-scientific witchcraftery) that it's a girl.

And the moment I get pregnant, there's some immediate purchases taking place:
  1. Video camera - to film me in all my pregnant glory for the last time, Sarah's birth, and all those cute moments with her family, especially her daddy.

  2. Baby jogger - because I'm not going to stop running.

  3. Cute baby-sized hiking clothes and shoes - which we were already drooling over Sarah's new wardrobe at REI this past weekend.

  4. Baby backpack with frame - We have to program baby Sarah to be all adventure-y, so Daddy's gonna haul her around on the trail. I can't wait to see her tiny little head resting on Rob's shoulder.
The only drawback is the waiting. It makes my womb ache just thinking about her. Sigh.
