Tony Stewart is jumping ship...

...and is now half owner of the troubled Haas-CNC team to form Stewart-Haas Racing.

I got exited about the rumors that Office Depot would move with him to the new team, but it turns out Gibbs is a tough mother effer and allegedly would only let Tony out of his contract if Office Depot sponsorship and the #20 remained with the Gibbs team.

In other words, like Dale, Jr., he can have his freedom, but he loses his identity.

And yes, that means us hard core Stewart fans need to buy all new gear next season, and suffer with the humiliation of wearing it while Tony struggles that first year to get that team to "click".

Well, maaaaybe the first year...god forbid he suffer "Michael Waltrip syndrome". Shudder.

Update: Fuck. Zippy isn't going with him either. Did everyone at Gibbs Racing also get to kick Tony squar in the nuts? Sheesh.
