Sunday – 8:15am

We awoke to long lines at the showers. Everyone had figured out to get in line early, so now there was no “early”, just a very very long line in the already(!) too-hot sun. Remembering how long it took us to set up camp, I was worried about the time it would take to break down camp, drag it all outside the gate and load up the car before the shows started. So while my sister-n-law waited in the shower line, I settled for wiping myself down with a soapy washrag. We broke down camp pretty fast (it helped that it was daytime and not windy) and crammed things into the car however they would go.

There was a bit of drama after we loaded the vehicle and attempted to get back into the lot to park the car. They wouldn’t let us park in the lot we were in, we now had to park in some back lot a quarter mile or so down the road. Since we had to drive out anyway, we went up to the Ralph’s down the road so I could pick up some extra film and they could pick up some food (that didn’t cost one meeelion dollars) and a couple disposable cameras.

We got back, parked and hiked it to the entrance. Since I had a bunch of shows that I wanted to see, while my brother and his wife were basically waiting for NIN, we decided we would split up for the day to do whatever we wanted then meet back at nine for NIN. It turns out we weren’t going to be apart for very long…
