Hmmm. When I ask my sweetie to choose a movie to see on our date tomorrow night, I should have known he'd choose Flightplan. We've seen the trailer playing in the movie theaters recently, and every time he's like, "mmmm. Jodie Foster."

Now he and I agree on every other woman he thinks is hot, except Jodie Foster. He's had the hots for since the time he saw Freaky Friday (shame on anyone who thinks I'm talking about the one starring Jamie Lee Curtis) as a kid, which must have been when he was fresh off the boat (so to speak) from England and just didn't know any better. I'm not saying she's unattractive, she's just not hot. When I think hot, I think – you know, Kate Beckinsale (Underworld 2 – yessss!!), Angelina Jolie, Gillian Anderson and the like. Jodie Foster isn't even on my blip screen.

I'll go see it anyway because it does look like a gripping movie, plus it's another opportunity to earn, you know, all-important cool girlfriend points.

Couple other movies that are on the radar to be seen: Corpse Bride (having a teen and a pre-teen who both routinely shop at Hot Topic, I'm not going to be able to get away with not seeing this film, plus Tim Burton's kinda cool) and the new Wallace and Gromit movie, The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (Nick Park is forever cool).
