Go Red Sox Racer, Go!

In a strange bit of sports crossover news, Mike Greenwell, a former Red Sox player (I know nothing about him since I'm only a fan by proxy), is going to be racing in the Craftsman Truck Series for four races starting late May.

According to a smattering of articles on the internet, he's been racing in some of the smaller stock car racing series for the past five years or so. Apparently he was pretty good ball player back in the day...nearly as good as, or as Greenwell alleges, better than Jose Conseco (who I have heard of).

I'm not going to suddenly jump back to being a hard core fan of Craftsman Truck Series again, but it's still pretty cool nonetheless.
