Capital I

This is still my FAVORITE thing in the whole world.

When I was a kid in the early 70's, Sesame Street came on twice a day - once in the morning, then a repeat of the same episode in the afternoon. And I watched it both times every single day.

So it didn't matter what I was doing, when the Capital I song came on (usually when the show was sponsored by the letter "i") *all shit stopped* and for 60 seconds I was transfixed by what is quite possibly the best song ever.

And the simple pleasure I felt that not only was I able to see my favorite Sesame Street skit, but also that I would see it AGAIN in the afternoon, is what the glory of being a kid is all about.

UPDATE: Go watch these other classics:
The Alligator King
Song of Ten
Ten Tiny Turtles
