I did a whole lotta nuthin’ today. Here's a list of things I was supposed to do: go to the gym, do the dishes, take out the trash, drag out camping gear for Coachella out of the storage closet, wash towels, gas the car, and go to the grocery store. I did none of these things, which means I get to them when I get up tomorrow.

Mostly I read in between numerous bouts of napping. I also remembered to watch SNL because Beck was on. And he was rockin’, performing E-Pro and Girl. And he actually looked happy to be performing, maybe because the tracks on this album don't sound like he wants to kill himself. The best was the random dancing guy. And my favorite track that I’ve heard off the album is Black Tambourine, but that will change. That’s the way it is with his music, something I don’t like one day will suddenly become my favorite the next. I can’t explain this phenomenon. I immediately gravitate to some tracks and warm up to the rest.

I had no idea who was supposed to guest host that night. Imagine my surprise when they announced it was Super Bowl extraordinaire; New England Patriot’s quarterback Tom Brady. If my sweetie weren’t sleeping like the actual dead, I would’ve called him.

His acting was a little stiff, but for the most part Tom looked like he was really enjoying himself and nothing was sacred for the writers (eat at Tom Brady’s Falafel City!). And some of the show was downright hysterical – from the Sexual Harassment skit (how do you avoid a lawsuit? 1) be handsome, 2) be attractive, and 3) don’t be unattractive) to Tom playing Jim McMahon for a parody of the Super Bowl Shuffle (who didn’t think this was cool back in the mid-80’s??). Funny stuff.

Song of the Day: E-Pro by Beck, which I'm sure will become my next favorite song off his new CD.

What about my wedding

I wrote this entry very late on the Saturday night eve of your wedding (hence it's labeled as Sunday) and haven't blogged since then. Not enough time this past week. I'll write an entry (I might even post a pic if you give me permission, but it'll be my choice--you can trust me) about your wedding before I leave for Coachella.
