Once again, I have underestimated the amount of time the holidays require, so I've done a massive amount of back posting from mid-December through now. I also updated the Long Winters post with the set list from the show.
So my blog is a year old and still looks the same (boring), but I'm working on it (at a snail's pace) and will find a host when I'm happy with the look and function. But I've done better at remembering things, writing more and learning some web development skills – which were the reasons I started this in the first place.
I am a little disappointed that I didn't get more in – there's still huge holes in the Coachella trip that I need to fill in and I don't think I posted anything about my sweetie's performances (which is stupid considering I called my dad at some hideously late hour ranting about how crazy fantastic the Mahler festival was this year). I didn't even post about Tony Stewart winning the NASCAR championship. I didn't post about Thanksgiving. My "song of the day" didn't really get off the ground, even though I discovered tons more new music this year than I have in any other year.
So it's not perfect. But now I'm going to take a break from it, celebrate the New Year and, like with everything else in my life, try to do a little better next year.
